Learn how to structure a joke and what separates being funny to your friends, and being funny to an audience. Learn how to use your influences to become the comedian you were meant to be. Participate in group writing and performing exercises. Learn why empathy and authenticity are the most important parts about stand up comedy.

MUSIC AS A SCENE PARTNER

Too often, music directors are seen as mere supporters whose role is to heighten the actors’ choices. But what if we flipped that dynamic? In this workshop, we’ll explore how music can actively influence your moves when you’re in a scene, rather than solely underscore them. When we truly listen, music can inspire character or location choices, emotional shifts, and even dynamic storylines.
This workshop is about saying “yes, and” to your music director too (!), treating music as a dynamic, collaborative scene partner, and allowing it to guide you into new directions and build something even stronger together.

ADAPTIVE REC IMPROV
We are currently working on creating an adaptive recreational program and offering a class specifically for adults who require more accommodations due to moderate to severe disabilities.
The class we will be offering is tailored to the students within it and empowers them to trust their imagination and creativity while also aiding communication skills, utilizing movement, and encouraging teamwork and play.
